Tiny Ape Freestyle is Darwinfpv's first 2,5” drone. To meet the needs of more friends and we have made more attempts. It comes with the Darwin ELRS2.0 F411 15A Bluejay AIO and the VTX006 which has an output power of 25-600mW.

The FC AIO ships with ELRS_V1.0 pre-flash. And we highly recommend everyone to stay on this ELRS firmware version until BetaFlight 4.3 is officially released, as some bugs may occur.
However, if you have a TX with firmware ver. 2.x and you want to update the FC firmware, you can do it via BetaFlight V4.3.0 RC1-RC3.
Make sure you choose the right firmware, which is called — BETAFPVF4SX1280. After successfully flashing the flight controller with the latest officially released ELRS firmware, you need to flash the CLI and VTX configuration files. Below are the tutorials on pairing the built-in receiver and the CLI files that should be viewed after the update:

1103 8000KV brushless motor
The 1103 8000KV brushless motor is only 3,7g and its power and thrust are amazing, and the flight time can reach about 5 minutes. We have a warning: the motor only supports 2S batteries, and if it is connected to 3S to push the throttle too much, the motor will be permanently damaged.

VTX VTX006 has an output power of 25-600mW and can provide stable images and powerful transmission. You can choose the perfect output
power according to you FPV requirements. (The default output power setting for Tiny Ape is 400mW).

Flight Control (FC) This is an updated version of Darwin AIO. We have integrated the ELRS receiver on the FC to make it easier to apply to mini drones. The ESC
adopts Bluejay firmware, compatible with 1-3S Lipo input, 15A continuous current and 17A peak current. FC supplies 2 sets of Uarts
interfaces, and also provides various interfaces for external devices such as SBUS, Softserial, CTR, BUZZ, RGB, etc., which perfectly solves the
problem of not enough Uart F411.
The built-in receiver is a SPI protocol receiver, so you need to select SPI receiver support (SPI RX support) in the betaflight configurator.
Under normal circumstances, the checkbox on the betaflight configurator receiver is empty. If your betaflight configurator is 10.8.0 and above, the checkbox should select “EXPRESSLRS”. As shown below.
